Hi Everybody! Well… I guess Mother Nature didn’t read my last post…she’s not giving us any breaks, yet! She’s getting ready to send us another blast tonight! I got to thinking…how to beat this round…and stay cozy…so I came up with something fun! There’s nothing better than a night in…friends/family…a movie…or board game…and some comfort food! I have a favorite Mexican dip that I usually make for family gatherings and I thought I’d share it with you!
4 cans Hormel Chili with Beans
1 bunch of green onions
2 small cans of sliced olives
1 small package of Velveeta Cheese
1 package of cream cheese
1 bottle Tabasco Sauce
2 bags of your favorite Tortilla Chips
(serves about 6 people)
Heat oven to 375 degrees
This is soooo easy!! Literally, dump everything in one medium sized oven friendly dish and cook until Velveeta and cream cheese melt… and everything stirs together smoothly. Don’t be afraid to use the whole bottle of Tabasco…when everything cooks…it cooks the majority of the “hot” away, but still gives it a nice kick!
Obviously, chop the onions … and cut the Velveeta into small pieces … so everything mixes faster… but that’s it!
It should only take about a half hour in the oven before you’re done… but just make sure everything is melted before you serve…then, get your chips and dip away!!!
My Aunt Rose Ann made this a while ago…and it’s been a hit every time I’ve made it!
Enjoy…stay warm…be safe… and let me know if you like it!
XOXO Alicia
